Valmeyer over Steeleville 25-23, 26-24
In an extremely close battle, Valmeyer edged out Steeleville 25-23, 26-24 Tuesday night to regain the top standing in the Cahokia Conference Kaskaskia Division.
With the loss, Steeleville dropped to 20-10 overall and finished up their conference season at 8-2. Valmeyer has just one conference loss, an earlier defeat against Steeleville, but still has one conference game remaining.
Jenny Frederking led the Lady Warriors with five points, four kills and four blocks, while Kayla Jeffers added eight digs in the loss.
