Steeleville over Pinckneyville 25-23, 26-24
Steeleville notched their 20th win of the season Monday with a 25-23, 26-24 victory over Pinckneyville.
“I think we played well tonight,” said Steeleville coach Amy Brown. “Pinckneyville caught us off guard with their tipping. Our defense is set up and trained to be able to handle hard hits so when they started tipping it took a while for us to make adjustments. I was excited for our team to get to that 20 win mark. These girls have worked hard and deserve this mark of a good season.”
The Lady Warriors offense was led by Jessica Troue (seven kills), Kayla Jeffers (nine points and seven digs), Jenny Frederking (five kills and seven digs), and Jessie Husband (five points and 21 assists).
With the win, Steeleville improved to 20-9 overall.
