Steeleville picked up their fourth consecutive win as they topped Marissa-Coulterville 25-13, 25-20 in straight sets Thursday.
“This was a great week for us, we won all three of our games against good opponents,” said Steeleville coach Amy Brown. In the second game of the Marissa match, I got a little nervous after we lost a seven-point lead and the score was 21-19. Our girls remained calm and finished the game strong.”
Jessie Huisband had 11 points including five aces and 12 assists to lead Steelevillem while Kayla Jeffers had five points and eight digs, and Jessica Troue had 7 kills.
The Lady Warriors improved to 4-2 overall and 2-0 in the Cahokia Conference.
