The regional seedings and pairings have been released for the upcoming volleyball post-season.
In Class 1A, all of the local teams are in the Lebanon Sectional. Marissa and Trico will each be hosting a regional.
At Trico, Steeleville is the top seed and will face the winner of Elverado (4) and Zeigler-Royalton (5) Wednesday, October 28 at 7 p.m.
Trico is the two seed and will face the winner of Christopher (3) and Christ Our Savior (6) Thursday, October 29 at 7 p.m.
The regional finals are set for Saturday, October 31 at 1 p.m.
At Marissa, the Lady Meteors are the top seed and will take on the winner of Patoka (4) and Sandoval (5) Wednesday, October 28 at 7 p.m. Other teams in that regional include Woodlawn (2), Odin (3), Webber (6) and Christ Our Rock Lutheran (7).
The regional finals are set for Saturday, October 31 at 1 p.m.
In Class 2A, Red Bud, Pinckneyville and Sparta will compete in the Red Bud Regional of the Columbia Sectional, while Chester will take part in the Du Quoin Regional of the Harrisburg Sectional.
At Red Bud, the host Lady Musketeers are the five seed and will take on Pinckneyville (4) Thursday, October 29 at 5:30 p.m. The winner of that match will take on the top seeded Columbia Lady Eagles in the regional semifinals later that day at 7:30 p.m.
Sparta is the two seed and will face Gibault (3) in the semifinals Thursday, October 29 at 6:30 p.m.
The regional finals are set for Saturday, October 31 at 6 p.m.
At Du Quoin, Chester, the four seed, will face Sesser-Valier (5) Thursday, October 29 at 5:30 p.m. The winner of that match will take on the top seeded Murphysboro Lady Devils in the regional semifinals later that day at 7:30 p.m. Other teams in that regional include Herrin (2) and Du Quoin (3).
The regional finals are set for Saturday, October 31 at 6 p.m.
