Jordan Clendenin set a new record in pole vault at the Don Webb Invitational track meet at Benton Monday and her team took fourth overall.
Clendenin’s leap of 9’9 broke the school record set in 2006 by Jenna Hammel of 9’.
Benton won the meet with 162 points followed by Carterville (104.5), Sesser Valier (55), Chester (52.5), Herrin (43.5), Du Quoin (31), Carmi-White County (24.5), Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton (24.5), Harrisburg (20), Egyptian (16), Fairfield (12.5), Webber Township (8) and Wayne City (4).
Other top finishers for the Lady Jackets were Sarah Bindel (second in the 300 meter hurdles), Tiffani Marshall (third 100 high hurdles), and Hanna Knop (third discus). The Chester 3200 meter relay team also took third at the meet.
