Pinckneyville 9
Chester 0

Sara Malanowski pitched a complete game shutout allowing just one hit to lead Pinckneyville to a 9-0 win over Chester Tuesday.
The win clinched the SIRR Mississippi Division softball title outright for the Lady Panthers with a mark of 9-1.
Pinckneyville scored four runs in the top of the first inning, three in the fifth and two in the seventh.
“We played good defensively and Sara Malanowski threw a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts,” said Pinckneyville coach Greg Hale. “Only two runners were allowed to reach base in the game.”
Emily Miller went 2-for-4 with a run batted in and Dani Schoenbacher was 2-for-3 in the win.
Morgan Colvis took the loss for Chester while Mollie Laramore had Chester’s lone hit.
Marissa-Coulterville 11
Valmeyer 5

Marissa-Coulterville slammed out 11 runs on 15 hits to top Valmeyer 11-5 Tuesday in Cahokia Conference action.
The Lady Meteors trailed 4-1 before getting hot and scoring four runs in the bottom of the third inning, four in the fourth and two in the fifth for the short-game win.
Ashley Lehman tossed six innings allowing five runs on four hits while striking out five to earn the win.
Paige Phelps had a big day offensively going 3-for-4 with a triple, a double, four runs batted in and two runs scored. Sonnie Young went 3-for-4 with two runs batted in and three runs scored while Kendra Goss was a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate with a run batted in.
Hamilton County 14
Trico 3

Hamilton County scored runs in every inning to roll to a 14-3 victory over Trico Tuesday in Black Diamond softball action.
The Lady Pioneers scored a run in the bottom of the first and added two in the second but couldn’t keep up with the Hamilton County offense.
Hamilton County plated a run in the first, four in the second, four in the third, one in the fourth and four in the fifth for the short-game victory.
Makayla Hartmann took the loss in the circle for Trico.
Katie Taylor was 1-for-3 with a run batted in to lead the Lady Pioneer attack while Kaylee Boland and Cassie Ortiz each had a hit in the loss.
With the loss, Trico dropped to 6-13 on the season.
Marissa-Coulterville 8
Columbia 7

Marissa-Coulterville scored the game’s first eight runs and then had to hold off a furious late rally to escape with an 8-7 victory over Columbia Monday.
The Lady Meteors scored a run in the top of the first inning, three in the third and four in the fourth for the 8-0 lead.
Columbia answered back scoring two runs in the fifth and five in the seventh.
Ashley Lehman tossed all seven innings for Marissa-Coulterville to get the win as she allowed seven runs on 11 hits while striking out two.
The Lady Meteor offense was led by Sonnie Young (2-for-4 with two doubles and three runs batted in), Paige Phelps (2-for-4 with two runs batted in), Christa Hill (2-for-4), Abbie Lehman (2-for-4) and Corey Pitchford (1-for-4 with a double and a run batted in).
Ashley Lehman picked up the complete game win allowing just two runs on five hits while striking out seven.
Camille Bumann paced the Marissa-Coulterville offense going 2-for-4 with three runs batted in and two runs scored. Other top hitters for the Lady Meteors were Abbie Lehman (2-for-5 with a run batted in), Corey Pitchford (3-for-5 with two runs batted in), Sonnie Young (2-for-5 with a run batted in), and Brianne Tedrow (3-for-4 with a run batted in).
Woodlawn 10
Marissa-Coulterville 9

Woodlawn exploded for eight runs in the top of the fifth inning to sneak past Marissa-Coulterville Friday 10-9.
The Lady Meteors grabbed the early lead scoring four runs in the first inning. That lead would hold up until the fifth as Woodlawn captured the lead 8-4. Woodlawn added two more runs in the top of the seventh for a 10-4 advantage.
Marissa-Coulterville nearly rallied all the way back scoring five runs in the seventh but came up one run short.
Corey Pitchford led the Lady Meteor attack going 3-for-5 with an RBI. Abbie Lehman was 2-for-4 and Sonnie Young was 2-for-3 with two runs batted in.
Trico 7
Eldorado 4

Cassie Ortiz had a big first inning to pace Trico to a 7-4 win over Eldorado Thursday.
Ortiz was a perfect 3-for-3 from the plate with a double, two runs batted in and an inside-the-park home run. The Lady Pioneers scored three times in the first for a 3-1 lead.
Trico added two more runs in the bottom of the third and the sixth for the three-run win.
Makayla Hartmann notched the win while Jennifer McGill went 1-for-2 with two runs batted in and Kaylee Boland was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Lady Pioneers.
Trico improved to 6-13 on the season with the win.
Marissa-Coulterville 14
Steeleville 2

Marissa-Coulterville scored 14 runs on 15 hits to easily top Steeleville 14-2 Thursday in Cahokia Conference action.
The Lady Meteors scored two runs in the top of the first inning, two in the second, one in the third, two in the fourth, one in the fifth and six in the seventh for the lopsided win.
Steeleville scored lone runs in the first and the fourth.
