The Marissa-Coulterville Lady Meteor softball team reserved a spot in their own regional championship game with a 10-5 victory over Dupo Tuesday.
The Lady Meteors opened the scoring with two runs in the bottom of the first inning. Dupo cut the lead in half with a single run in the second inning, before Marissa-Coulterville exploded for four runs in the third.
The Lady Meteors added another run in the fifth and three in the sixth.
Dupo rounded out its scoring with a pair of runs in the fifth and seventh innings.
Camille Bumann had the big bat for Marissa-Coulterville, as the senior had two hits and drove in three runs. Chelsea Weekley drove in two runs, while Kendra Goss, Abbie Lehman, Katie Shubert and Bailey Setzkorn all had one RBI in the win.
Ashley Lehman tossed all seven innings for Marissa-Coulterville giving up five runs, four earned on 11 hits and just one walk, while striking out seven.
