Sparta snapped a three-game losing streak with a blowout win over Murphysboro Monday night 79-37.

The Lady Bulldogs outscored Murphysboro in every quarter including 43-16 in the first half for the 42-point win.

Sparta jumped out to a 25-10 first quarter lead before going up 43-16 at the intermission.

In the second half, Sparta outscored Murphysboro 19-10 and 17-11 to run away with the game.

Jessica Robinson tossed in a season high 30 points for the Lady Dawgs, while Rachel Peck had 15 and Kordelia Claybourn tossed in 11.

With the win, Sparta improved to 10-3 on the season.
