Marissa-Coulterville broke the school record for wins in a season with a 71-15 thrashing of rival New Athens Thursday night.
With the win, the Lady Meteors improved to 21-4 on the season and 9-0 in conference play.
Marissa-Coulterville wasted no time on jumping on New Athens for the lead. The Lady Meteors led 20-2 at the end of the first quarter and 32-3 at the break.
Marissa-Coulterville would put the game away in the second half by outscoring New Athens 17-10 in the third and 22-2 in the fourth.
Dena Malkin led the Marissa-Coulterville attack with 14 points, while Kara Wine had 11, and Kendra Goss and Brittany Sloan each finished with eight.
