Breese Central jumped on Red Bud early and never let up in a 72-26 victory Monday night in Cahokia Conference action.

The Lady Musketeers fell behind 21-5 in the first quarter and trailed 40-11 at halftime.

Breese Central went on to outscore Red Bud 17-9 in the third and 15-6 in the fourth for the lopsided win.

Kelsey Johnson scored 18 points to lead Breese Central, while Tara Hubert had five points to pace the Red Bud offense.

With the loss, Red Bud dropped to 4-10 overall and 1-5 in the conference.
