Marissa-Coulterville advanced to the finals of the Dupo Cat Classic Saturday, but couldn’t bring home the title with a 57-30 loss to Metro-East Lutheran.
Metro-East Lutheran outscored the Lady Meteors in every quarter including 32-12 in the second half for the 27-point victory.
Marissa-Coulterville trailed 12-10 at the end of the first quarter and 25-18 at halftime.
Chelsea Weekley led Marissa-Coulterville with 11 points, while Camille Bumann added six points. Abbie Lehmen and Corey Pitchford each tossed in four points in the loss.
Metro-East was paced by Jessica Lump’s 19 points.
Marissa-Coulterville 38, New Athens 19
The Lady Meteors advanced to the Dupo tournament championship game with a 38-19 victory over New Athens Wednesday night.
Marissa-Coulterville outscored New Athens in every quarter including 12-2 in the second for the 19-point win.
Bailey Setzekorn led Marissa-Coulterville with 11 points, while Chelsea Weekley added seven points.
The Lady Meteors improved to 2-1 with the win.
