Red Bud coach Janelle Pfeiffer came into the Sparta Invitational Tournament with a perfect 3-0 record after winning the title last year. You can now push her record up to 6-0 in the tournament after leading her team to back-to-back championships Saturday.
“For this being the beginning of the season, the girls played pretty well,” said Pfeiffer. “We really wanted to win this tournament for the second year in a row and the girls came out and fought through three games to get it.”
