Coulterville graduate Katie Fullerton wrapped up her stellar collegiate basketball career by being named an honorable mention NAIA Women's Basketball All-American last week.
This was the second consecutive season that Fullerton, a senior guard at McKendree, has received this honor.
Fullerton led the Bearcats this season with 398 points, 116 assists, 223 rebounds, and 38 steals. She ended her collegiate career at McKendree ranked tenth on the school’s all-time scoring list with 1,200 points. She is also a two-time first-team all-conference selection and a four-time academic all-conference selection.
Fullerton was also named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes following the season. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status to qualify for this honor. The honor was the second for Fullerton.
