Red Bud football standout Jake Hoffman has signed with Culver Stockton College. He will report to Canton, Missouri August 14 for practice.
Hoffman was the starting quarterback for the Red Bud Musketeers the last three years. He put up some impressive numbers over his tenure and was named All State his junior year.
His accomplishments included 1,228 passing yards, with 10 touchdowns in 2008 and 287 rushing yards and six touchdowns. Hoffman threw for 2,054 yeards and 24 touchdowns his junior year to go along with 881 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns.
Hoffman’s senior year was cut short after he tore his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee against Freeburg. The senior finished with 891 passing yards, with 10 touchdowns and 323 rushing yards with seven touchdowns.
Hoffman owns several school records, including most passing yards in a career (4,173), most passing touchdowns in a career (44), most passing yards in a season (2,054), most touchdowns in a season (24), most rushing yards by a quarterback (881), and most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback (13).
Jake is the son of Robert and Jackie Hoffman of Red Bud.
