Johnston City (3-0) scored the first 28 points and cruised to a 42-6 win over Elverado-Trico (0-3) at home Friday night.
Each team lost five fumbles in the game while the Falcons also threw three interceptions.
The Indians scored 21 points in the first quarter as Taylor Birkman found the endzone all three times.
Johnston City added another score just three minutes into the second quarter for a commanding 28-0 lead.
The Falcons put up their first points of the season late in the second quarter. Alex McGill connected with Randy Goetz for a 23-yard touchdown pass. The two-point conversion failed, and the Falcons trailed 28-6 at halftime.
Johnston City added two more touchdowns in the third quarter to pull away with the 36-point victory.
The Indians finished with 273 yards of total offense, with 225 of that coming from the rushing attack.
Elverado-Trico was held to just 108 yards of total offense, as its running attack averaged under two yards a carry for a total of 42 yards.
The Falcons will host Chester (3-0) Saturday at 1 p.m.
