After falling behind 7-0, Pinckneyville rattled off the next 36 points to roll past Dupo 42-15 Friday night to finish the varsity football season at 4-5.
Pinckneyville quarterback Bryant Shute got his team on the board late in the first quarter with a one-yard keeper. The two-point conversion failed and at the end of the first quarter, the Panthers trailed 7-6.
The Panthers scored two touchdowns, a 29-yard run by Neil Kellerman and a one-yard run from Shute, to take a 20-7 halftime lead.
Justin Hale caught a 37-yard touchdown pass from Shute and also ran in a seven-yard score, while junior Austin Pyatt returned an interception 30 yards for a touchdown, as the Panthers outscored Dupo 22-8 in the second half.
Pinckneyville finished with 377 yards of total offense with 295 yards coming from the running attack.
Kellerman led Pinckneyville with 117 yards on 14 carries, while Shute added 69 yards rushing on 16 attempts and completed 5-of-8 passes for 82 yards.
With the win, Pinckneyville finished the season with a record of 4-5.
