Nashville racked up over 500 yards of total offense en route to a 55-6 beating of Pinckneyville Friday night.
The Hornets ran the ball 34 times for 428 yards, while holding Pinckneyville’s rushing attack to under 40 yards.
Nashville tallied 14 points in the first quarter, 28 in the second and 13 in the third for the blowout victory.
Pinckneyville’s lone score came in the second quarter as Bryant Shute, making his season debut, connected with Adam Barczewski for a 37-yard touchdown pass.
Shute completed 11-of-22 passes for 144 yards in the loss.
With the loss, Pinckneyville fell to 1-4, while Nashville improved to 4-1.
In other SIRR Mississippi Division action, Anna-Jonesboro (5-0) defeated Sparta (0-5) 43-0.
The Panthers will host Perry County rival Du Quoin (3-2) Friday night, while Sparta will travel to take on Carterville (3-2).
