After picking up a 40-0 win over Pinckneyville in week one, the Red Bud football team looks more than ready to open up the conference race Friday night as the team hosts Wesclin (1-0).
Wesclin blew past Metro-East Lutheran 41-6 in week one.
“Wesclin is not real big, but they are a quick and athletic team,” said Red Bud coach Dave Lucht. “If we can continue to be efficient offensively and keep Wesclin drives short, I think we will be in great position.”
Last year, the Musketeers coasted past the Warriors 36-8.
As long as Red Bud comes ready to play and avoids turnovers, this game is theirs to lose.
The Musketeers have the experience and talent to run away with the victory, but no conference opponent can be overlooked.
