Carmi-White County outscored Elverado-Trico 49-8 in the first half en route to a convincing 57-14 victory Friday night.
Carmi scored three touchdowns in the first quarter and then added four more in the second.
Dalton Porter returned a kickoff 70 yards for a touchdown for the Falcons’ lone score of the opening half.
Curtis Compton scored a five-yard touchdown for Elverado-Trico early in the fourth quarter.
With the loss, the Falcons dropped to 0-8 on the season.
Porter finished with 182 yards rushing on 14 carries to lead Elverado-Trico while Alex McGill had 30 yards rushing and completed 5-of-15 passes for 40 yards.
Elverado-Trico will travel to take on Christopher-Zeigler-Royalton (0-8) Friday night.
