Murphysboro topped Marissa-Coulterville, Trico, Steeleville and Chester to win the annual boys golf Chester Invitational Tournament held Wednesday.
The Red Devils had a low team score of 331, edging Marissa-Coulterville by just one stroke (332). Trico took third with a team score of 359 followed by Steeleville (405) and Chester (425).
Andrew Novara led Murphysboro with a 77 as he was also the match medalist.
The Meteors were paced by Joel Klimas (79), Brock Waldrup (80), Justin Sinn (86) and David Parkinson (87).
Trico was led by Clint Young (83), Patrick Heller (90), Tyler Coleman (91), Ben Bates (93) and David Burns (93).
The Steeleville squad was led by Josh Diercks (90), Andrew Pokrzywinski (93), Nick Potter (106) and Darren Winkelman (116)
Brett Barthol led Chester with a 91 followed by Sam Higgerson (99), Jonavan Richelman (110) and Tommy Pfeiffer (125).
