In its season opener, Christ Our Savior Lutheran, with its five players topped Carbondale Trinity 39-38 Monday night.
The Soldiers led 8-6 at the end of the first quarter and trailed 21-20 at halftime. The Eavsnville school then outscored Trinity 10-9 in the third and 9-8 in the fourth for the win.
Corey Rahn led the team with 14 points as he went 4-of-7 from three-point range. Daniel Mehring added 11 points, Nathan Denney and Corey Rehmer each added six and Ben Boeder chipped inwith two points.
The Soldiers travel to take on Ezra Saturday.
