Vashon rallied to outscore Pinckneyville 27-15 over the final eight minutes to pull out a 55-52 win Saturday at the Best of the Midwest Shootout held in Marion.

The Panthers trailed 10-4 at the end of the first quarter and 20-17 at halftime.

Pinckneyville went on a 20-8 run in the third quarter for a 37-28 lead going into the fourth period.

Nathan Morton had 18 points to pace Pinckneyville, while Drew Dudek added 11.

With the loss, Pinckneyville fell to 3-2 on the season.
