Trico rebounded from a tough showing at the Carbondale Holiday Tournament to knock off Christopher 55-41 Tuesday night to improve to 3-0 in the Black Diamond West.

The Pioneers led 14-8 at the end of the first quarter and held a 27-17 halftime advantage. Trico then outscored Christopher 16-8 in the third for a commanding 43-25 lead going in to the fourth.

Jesse Smith led the Pioneers with 16 points, while Logan Thies added 14 and Chase Heins finished with 12.

With the victory, Trico improved to 8-4 on the season.
