Dartanus White scored 21 points to lead Sparta past Trico 58-46 for the second time this season.
The Bulldogs outscored the Pioneers 15-7 in the second and 14-8 in the third for the difference in the game.
“We just played well Saturday night,” said Sparta coach Rich Williams. “Trico is a very good team and well coached. This was a quality win for us. It was a good weekend for us, but we would have liked to win both games.”
Logan Thies paced Trico with 13 points, while Jesse Smith added 12.
Sparta hosts Chester Friday night to end a long conference rivalry and then travel to take on Pinckneyville Saturday night.
“We need the fans to come out this weekend,” added Williams. “These will be two tough games.”
Trico hosts rival Steeleville Friday night and will then take on the best from the Black Diamond East in the Black Diamond Duels Saturday night.
