Sparta outscored Red Bud 30-29 in the fourth quarter to escape Blossom City with a 68-67 win Saturday night in nonconference action.

The Bulldogs led 19-12 at the end of the first quarter and held a 31-29 halftime advantage.

The Musketeers outscored Sparta 9-7 in the third to tie the game up at 38-38 heading into the fourth period.

Dartanus White scored 19 points to pace Sparta, while Blake Shelton added 13.

Red Bud’s offense was led by Adam Kunkel’s 25 points, while Kory Liefer added 19.

With the win, Sparta improved to 11-4, while Red Bud dropped to 6-8 on the season.
