Steeleville picked up its biggest win of the season Friday night with a 77-67 victory over Okawville on the road.
Colin Smith came up big, as the junior scored a game-high 29 points in the victory. Andrew Pokrzywinski added 13 points and 12 assists, while Josh Diercks and Coire Reel each added 11 and Nick Potter finished with 10.
The Warriors led 20-16 at the end of the first quarter and 39-33 at halftime. Steeleville used a 19-14 scoring run in the third period for a 58-47 advantage.
Okawville outscored Steeleville 20-19 in the fourth, but it was not nearly enough for the comeback.
With the win Steeleville improved to 6-3 on the season with the win.
