Pinckneyville won its sixth consecutive Benton Invitational Tournament title Saturday with a 56-45 win over Sesser-Valier to sweep the field.
The Panthers trailed 14-13 at the end of the first quarter, but regrouped to outscore Sesser-Valier 19-12 in the second quarter to take a 32-26 lead at halftime.
Pinckneyville sealed the championship title by outscoring the Devils 24-19 in the second half for the 11-point win.
Jake Bathon led the Panthers with 11 points, while Drew Dudek and Kyle Lamb each had nine.
With the win, Pinckneyville improved to 17-3 on the season.
Lamb along with Nathan Morton, and Shay Kellerman were named to the all-tournament team from Pinckneyville.

Pinckneyville ran out to a big first half lead and never looked back in a 54-30 victory over Benton Saturday.
The Panthers led 14-11 at the end of the first quarter and 30-16 at halftime. Pinckneyville put the game out of reach in the second half by outscoring the host Rangers 12-5 in the third and 12-8 in the fourth.
Shay Kellerman led Pinckneyville with 11 points.

Carlyle 46
The Pinckneyville defense held Carlyle to just one point in overtime to pick up a 58-46 victory Friday night in the Benton Tournament.
The Panthers led for most of regulation including 13-11 after the first quarter, 32-28 at halftime and 42-38 after three quarters of play.
In the fourth, Pinckneyville was held to just three points as Carlyle outscored the Panthers 7-3 to force the extra session.
In overtime, it was all Pinckneyville as the Panthers outscored Carlyle 13-1 for the 12-point win.
Nathan Morton scored 19 points to lead Pinckneyville, while Jake Bathon and Shay Kellerman each had 12.

Pinckneyville improved to 2-0 in tournament play with a convincing 60-39 win over Hamilton County Wednesday night.
The Panthers trailed 30-24 at halftime, but outscored the Foxes 36-9 in the second half for the 21-point win.
Kyle Lamb led Pinckneyville with 15 points, while Nathan Morton added 11 and Shay Kellerman had 10.
