Pinckneyville outscored Metro East Lutheran by 15 points in the fourth quarter to rally for a 60-53 win Saturday in its own Pinckneyville Showcase.
The Panthers grabbed a 16-14 lead in the first quarter, but were outscored 12-5 in the second and 16-13 in the third to trail 42-34 going into the fourth.
Pinckneyville outscored Metro East Lutheran 26-11 in the fourth for the seven-point win.
Kyle Lamb and Steven Brueggemann each scored 12 points to lead Pinckneyville.

Fresh off a big conference win over Sesser-Valier, a poor second quarter performance cost Trico in a 61-54 loss to Waltonville Saturday in the Pinckneyville Showcase.
Trico outscored Waltonville 14-11 in the first, 14-13 in the third and 15-13 in the fourth, but couldn’t make up for being outscored 24-11 in the second quarter.
Logan Thies and Chase Heins each scored 15 points to pace the Pioneers, while Jesse Smith added 12 in the loss.
In other showcase action, Sesser-Valier knocked off Mount Carmel 48-46, McCluer North defeated Mount Vernon 58-45 and Breese Mater Dei beat Du Quoin 54-40.
