In a preview of the Chester 2A Regional first round matchup, Pinckneyville outscored Chester in every quarter en route to an 88-55 win Saturday night in SIRR Mississippi Division action.
Pinckneyville led 15-14 at the end of the first quarter and 39-28 at the intermission. The Panthers ran away with the win in the second half by outscoring the Yellow jackets 25-11 in the third and 24-156 in the fourth for the 33-point win.
Drew Dudek led Pinckneyville with 23 points, while Steve Brueggemann added 14 and Kyle Lamb had 10.
Zach Lochhead led Chester with 23 points.
Pinckneyville improved to 20-4 on the season and 6-1 in conference play.
Chester dropped to 6-15 overall and 0-7 in the conference with the loss.
