Okawville played a physical game and held Marissa-Coulterville to under 38 percent shooting from the floor in a 70-50 win Tuesday night.
The Meteors trailed by just nine points at halftime, but Okawville came out and scored them 21-11 in the third and 21-20 in the fourth for the 20-point win.
“Okawville played great team defense and outrebounded us on both ends,” said Marissa-Coulterville coach Dirk Miller. “We have three key guards hurt (Logan Tabor, Cody Mahan and Kyle Sinn) and we have to get them healthy for the final stretch run. They are definitely a major key to our success.”
Mike Lloyd scored 16 points to lead the Meteors.
