Red Bud was outscored 18-2 in the second quarter as Metro East Lutheran rolled to a 68-44 win Tuesday night in a nonconference battle.

The Musketeers trailed 14-13 at the end of the first quarter and were down 32-15 at halftime.

Metro East Lutheran sealed the win by outscoring Red Bud 36-29 in the second half.

Dan Niemeier and Bob Schnietz each had 15 points to lead the Knights who improved to 20-4 on the season.

Kory Liefer scored 14 points to pace Red Bud, while Jake Hoffman and Adam Kunkel each had eight in the loss.

With the loss, Red Bud fell to 9-13 on the season.
