Marissa-Coulterville outscored Valmeyer in every quarter en route to a 78-48 victory Friday night in Cahokia Conference Kaskaskia Division action.
The Meteors led 14-11 in the first and 30-18 at halftime. Marissa-Coulterville put the game out of reach in the second half by outscoring the Pirates 21-12 in the third and 27-18 in the fourth.
Marissa-Coulterville sophomore Joey Smith had a good game scoring 26 points with nine assists and five steals. He was also 12-of-16 from the free throw line and the team was 25-of-33 shooting free throws.
Kyle Sinn and David Parkinson chipped in with nine points apiece.
