Trico rebounded from its loss to Murphysboro by blowing out Zeigler-Royalton Tuesday night 73-33 on the road in Black Diamond Conference boys basketball action.
The Pioneers jumped out to a 23-5 first quarter lead and held a overwhelming 40-10 lead at the break.
Jesse Smith led Trico with 12 points, while Taylor Pyatt and Tyler Coleman each added 10. Ten different players scored for the Pioneers in the win.
Marissa-Coulterville 79, Agape Christian 53
Joey Smith scored a game-high 34 points and three other Meteors reached double figues in scoring to lead Marissa-Coulterville to a 79-53 win over Agape Christian Friday night.
The Meteors led 25-20 at the end of the first quarter and 48-32 at the intermission. Marissa-Coulterville sealed the win by outscoring Agape 31-21 in the second half.
Behind Smith, the Meteor scoring attack was led by Clint Runyon with 18 points, Logan Tabor with 11 and Joey Martin with 10.
