Sparta senior Jordan Thompson recently signed a letter of intent to play basketball next winter at Maryville University in St. Louis. Maryville competes in NCAA Division II athletics as a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.  Maryville's mascot is the Saint Bernard and the athletic teams are know as the Maryville Saints. Thompson has been accepted into Maryville University's freshman direct entry physical therapy program and will major in physical therapy.
