618 MMA presents Rage On The River April 17 in Chester ... 4/8/10


The first ever mixed martial arts event to be held in Randolph County will take place April 17 as 618 MMA presents Rage On The River at the American Legion in Chester.
Rage On The River will have cage fights featuring fighters from Ultimate Fighting Championships superstar Matt Hughes’ Hit Squad against other fight camps from Illinois, Alabama, Kentucky and Tennessee.
The card will be highlighted by local fighters training at the Hit Squad Coltin Cole and Garrett Gross of Du Quoin.
Cole will look to revenge his only loss in the cage as he rematches Michael Gaston, while Gross will take on Ryan Paholeke In a heavyweight title fight, Jason Bosler of the Hit Squad will take on Bob Allard, along with many more fights.
Dustin “The Beast” Neace, who has fought for Strikeforce and against World Extreme Cagefighting superstar Mike Brown, is the official referee for Rage On The River.
The event is being recorded for DVD distribution and will have licensed reps from TapOut, Affliction, Warrior Wear and Guardian Angel Wear.
